Welcome to Shared Stories. This series of programs collects and weaves together stories told by caregivers about their experiences helping people through some of the toughest ordeals of life, aging and death. Through sharing stories, people can learn how to prepare for unexpected and difficult times.
Combining music, ambient sounds, interviews and real-life stories from caregivers, this series of audio compositions called "audiographs" give the listener an insight into a world that the written word alone cannot. The voices of experienced caregivers articulate the emotions and concerns beyond what can be represented in print.
Produced by LifeFlow and Earwax Productions, San Francisco, Shared Stories is funded by a grant from the Walter and Elise Haas Creative Work Fund. Additionally, Lifeflow produced three radio programs on cargiving which were broadcast live on KALW. Recordings of these broadcasts are available by clicking on the purple button below.
Shared Stories will be posted on our website from January 2008 — December 2008, tell your family and friends. Enjoy! Write us with your comments.
